Northern Canada. Polar Land.
A land of snow and growth.
Northern Canada, sometimes known as "the north", is the vast northernmost region of Canada. Politically, Northern Canada refers to the three territories of Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, though the 'Far North' may refer to the 'Canadian Arctic', the area of Canada that lies in the Arctic Circle.
The Far Northern area of Canada is inhabited by the Inuits indigenous people, often known as the Eskimos. They build Igloos and harness their natural environment to live in.
Northern Canada is a land of snow, with months of darkness and specially-adapted plants and animals that can survive in the extreme temperatures of the arctic circle. The Northwest Territories of Canada hold many mountain ranges, including the Innuitian Mountains named after the Inuits. Many of these regions remain relatively unexplored due to the hostile environment.
